Working with lighting designer Simon Dove and his team at CODA, Mode Lighting delivered a versatile eDIN+ control system for the historically significant Sherborne House – a Grade I listed property reimagined as a multifunctional event, hospitality, and heritage space.

To accommodate the wide variety of uses within the building, the eDIN+ system was configured with a combination of DALI broadcast, trailing edge dimming, mains switching, and DMX. The system also integrates with the building’s alarm system to activate a security mode when the space is unoccupied.

Control is provided via Contact Input Modules interfaced with momentary switches, along with iCON scene-setting keypads – both custom-finished to complement the building’s historic interior.

As a Grade I listed property, it was essential that the installation preserved the original architectural features. The lighting control infrastructure was carefully designed to respect the fabric of the building while delivering modern performance and flexibility.

Sherborne House has recently been removed from Historic England’s Heritage at Risk Register, following a major restoration effort.
