Lighting Control for a Social Gaming Bar Experience
Set in the vibrant Cabot Square, Electric Shuffle Canary Wharf combines immersive shuffleboard games with a stylish bar setting for up to 350 guests. The venue offers a lively mix of post-work socials, group get-togethers, and cocktail-fuelled shuffleboard showdowns – all brought to life with a dynamic lighting scheme that enhances the energy and atmosphere of the space.
Lighting Control Objectives
The goal was to create a warm, inviting bar ambience that seamlessly transitions from daytime drinks to energetic evening gaming sessions. Lighting needed to support a lively social atmosphere while remaining simple and intuitive for staff to control.
Our Solution
Mode Lighting delivered a dual-system solution using both the Tiger and ColourStyle systems. The Tiger system manages 84 lighting circuits across the venue using a combination of leading-edge dimming and 1–10V control. Four pre-set scenes were programmed to support the changing requirements throughout the day, ensuring the right atmosphere at the right time. The system was designed to be straightforward and user-friendly, allowing staff to easily operate it without technical training.
Alongside this, the ColourStyle system was deployed to control the coloured ceiling-mounted light tubes. These provide dynamic and animated lighting effects that bring an additional layer of visual energy to the venue, supporting the interactive gaming environment and making the space feel vibrant and fun.
The finished system offers a blend of flexibility, reliability and ease of use. It supports the venue’s energetic atmosphere while remaining practical and intuitive for daily operation. With Tiger providing the backbone of functional scene control and ColourStyle adding movement and drama, the lighting helps define the unique experience of Electric Shuffle Canary Wharf.
